“Bela Vista Painting Company exceeded all of my expectations; on price, quality, diligence and professional conduct while on my property. I originally researched exterior painters on Angie's list and put together a short list based on their reviews. I asked three paint companies, including Bela Vista for an estimate and listened closely to what each described as their work process. I also asked for references I could talk to from each. Bela Vista was the least expensive of the three (the most expensive was almost twice his price). I do not normally jump on the "cheapest" bid but look for the best balance of quality and value. After speaking with Fabio's (the owner) references in Parkland and Boca Raton, I was convinced that his work was good value rather than cheap. Some of his references had used him for 15 years and had several houses painted by him. His bid included power washing the roof and of course the whole house as part of the prep. I have had my tile roof power washed several times and never had the crew up there for more than 4 hours. Fabio's crew spent almost 9 hours (until dark) on the roof and I realized the next day that I had never seen my roof really, really clean before. It looked literally new. The next day was the exterior power wash and they also did a great job there. The preparation for the paint was astonishing. They patched every place on the stucco that they even imagined there could be a crack or a void and recaulked everything, especially around the trim boards around the roof. They also repaired several areas that had been damaged previously. The masking was very good, tight straight lines and they took off exterior lamps, speakers, ceiling fans, etc instead of masking around them (or course replaced at the end of the job.) Between the masking and repairs, sealer coat and the finish coat there were three guys working hard and late for four days. Spray and backroll, resulting in an even, solid great looking paint job. I was changing color from Terra Cotta to light yellow so good coverage was essential and boy did they! Fabio quoted the job to me 2 ways - sealer coat and one color coat, and (at my request) sealer coat and two separate color coats (although he told me that if the first color coat was properly applied the second color coat was not necessary. I took his advice and opted for the single color coat quote but I did notice that the day after the color coat was complete and two of the crew were painting trim, the foreman was applying a second color coat (no extra charge) by hand with a roller on all of the walls around the pool patio. Since the house wraps around the pool that represented a significant percentage of the exterior walls that got a second color coat. I asked one of the other crew what he was doing and was told the foreman was not quite satisfied with the look of the first coat (I looked hard and saw nothing amiss.) Six days on site including most of the day Saturday, a three man crew on site except for the power washing days, and I think I have found my permanent painter for as long as I live in South Florida. I give Bela Vista a perfect rating.”
